About Frosty's
An Island Tradition Since 1949
Located in the heart of downtown Put-in-Bay, Frosty’s has been an island tradition since 1949. Cold beer served in the signature frosty beer mug, peanut shells crunching underfoot, tasty pizza baked fresh to order, and classic rock tunes from the jukebox are all part of what makes Frosty’s a favorite. Native islanders, boaters, and day trippers alike flock to Frosty’s for the beautiful view of DeRivera Park and the Put-in-Bay harbor.
1st Generation
While on a Florida vacation, Louise Stoiber was served orange juice in a frozen footed mug. Louise thought to herself that this was a great idea for serving cold beer. Right there on that warm Florida morning, Frosty’s was born.
2nd Generation
When Louise passed, George and June Stoiber owned and operated the Frosty Bar for over 40 years, adding full-service breakfast in 1988.
3rd Generation
In 2007, Kim Stoiber and Ryan Stoiber purchased Frosty’s from June and George. In 2011, Kim and Ryan opened The Backyard and Big Man’s Burrito Stand offering a relaxing outdoor area for dining and fresh frozen drinks.

Visitors & competitive types
Visitors and competitive types can’t resist a quick game of pool or trying their hands at the classic video games located in the bar.

An Extended Family
Part of what makes Frosty’s so special is the Stoiber family and the extended family of college-age employees that serve breakfast, pizza, and beer all summer. Stop in and see us at Frosty’s. We’re glad you’re here!

Good breakfasts, pizza, cold beer, and subs, yes; But a professional sport fishing team?
In 2003, three longtime friends and Frosty customers came together with an idea to have some fun, catch some fish, and to hopefully help spread the already well-known name, and logo of Frostys, around the Florida Keys and other yet unknown tourist destinations.
“Team Frosty” was formed in July of 2003 with help of June and Ryan Stoiber, and over the past seven years has been competing in tournaments around Florida.
